Is it a midlife crisis? Its not about me!?

My dad has been getting a lot of stress (Family issues and going into more debt).... he bought a new set of darts, he has started redoing the floors (that my mom has been asking him to do since 2009) and he has been talking about selling our house and moving to an apartment! He is almost 50 and his friend just went through a midlife crisis. Could he be going through one?
