Has anyone ever bought a fake diamond ring/wedding set?

I have a "decoy" ring for when I travel outside of the United States, which I bought for $30 from some internet store. Nowadays I just wear my band (cost about $400) and feel comfortable wearing it most places, though if I was going somewhere VERY 3rd world I'd leave even that at home, replacing it with something much cheaper.
