How do you feel about cubic zirconia engagement rings?

Do you think it is bad to get a cubic engagement ring? I could wait for the real thing but I feel like we just want to start our lives and its so much pressure and a waste of time and money. Did anyone else do this? what are your thoughts. can you tell the difference with a good CZ?
