Dog returns from Vet Malnurished?

He may just be thin from having been sick. If he was sick enough to have to stay at the vet then he probably wasn't feeling like eating while he was there. Little dogs who don't weigh much to begin with can look really thin from just loosing a little weight, and the weight loss was probably from being sick.
