"My excuse is that I'm young"?

i am sixteen and think that this is the stupidest quote...ever. kids my age constantly beg to be treated as adults then turn around and make dumb decision and blame it on their youth, it's ridiculous. i feel that at my age my brain may not be fully developed but it is at least developed enough to understand that there are consequences for my actions and that the mistakes i make are my own
